Embellished Events: Merry Christmas!

Hi There!

It's Wednesday and it has been a busy one for me, but it was filled with all good things!  I wanted to share a card that I made with the stamp set Embellished Events!  It's a great all occasion stamp set with images and words for Birthday, Christmas and Celebrations in general.
I heat embossed both the image and the sentiment just to give it a little pop.  The silver shimmer paper behind the bells really pick up on the silver embossing.

If you like the ribbon used here, you can get it for FREE if you place a $40 order.  Click here for the details.

All products Stampin' Up!
Stamp set:  Embellished Events
Cardstock:  Raspberry Ripple, Silver Shimmer Paper
Big Shot:  Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder, Labels Collection Framelits, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Ink:  Versamark, Silver Embossing Powder
Tools:  Heat Tool
Ribbon:  3/8" Satin Ribbon
Accessory:  In-Color Dahlia

Enjoy and don't forget about the blog candy give-a-way.  Details can be found here!

Happy Friday!
I wanted to share one of the cards that we made at Stamp Cafe this month.  Each month on the 4th Tuesday of the month, I have Stamp Cafe class here in my studio and we make 6 cards (envelopes included).  The class is $15 or FREE if you place a minimum order of $25.  It's a great class and I'd love for you to join me in August! You can see a list of my events here.
For this card I played with the new Natural Composition Designer Series Paper.  Love It!  I thought that the butterflies looked really cute with the flowers in the paper.  I used the colors that are the front cover of the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  Contact me if you don't have your own personal copy of the catalog and I'll get one to you asap.

New Stampin' Up! Fancy Fan Folder and a Cool Technique

Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (which I just got and love).
Here's the final project!

Hi All!

I hope you had a great weekend.  We were fighting the stomach bug at my house, but we're on the mend now!  I wanted to share this card which I made for my stamp club.  It was held on this past Saturday and I was unable to attend because I was just not feeling well at all.  I ended up video chatting in on it.  Pretty cool huh?  The ladies are so talented, they really didn't need me anyway!  One of the club members, Donna, took pictures of the cards for me.  Thanks Donna!  She has a beautiful blog, check it out at Creative Lady

I've seen this fan on a couple of other peoples blog and wanted to try it out for myself.  It was super easy to make using the new Designer Rosette Die from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I cut the paper to 3 inches, ran it through the die, folded it (accordion style), used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole at the bottom and ran some ribbon through it.  Love it!

All Supplies SU!
Stamps: Loving Thoughts (Occasions Mini)
Paper: Pool Party, Naturals Ivory, Everyday Enchantment (Sale-a-Bration catalog)
Ink: Soft Suede
Big Shot Die:  Designer Rosette (Occasions Mini), square lattice embossing folder
Ribbon:  Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack (Sale-a-Bration catalog)
Punch: Scallop Edge Border Punch

Enjoy!

So, what do you do with a Simply Sent kit?  These kits are great for the beginner stamper.  They are also great for last minute cards and any cards that you need to make a bunch of....like Christmas Cards.  I've been searching different talented Stampin' Up! demos blogs to see samples of how they used the Simply Sent kits. Thanks to Stampin' Pretty, Sandi McIver, Julie Davison, and Inkin out Loud.  It's nice having lots of resources!  I purchased the Everyday Elegance set and made the 3 cards and 1 gift box shown above.  The gift box is perfect for a gift card or cookies, or chocolate to give to a teacher or co-worker.  I really like these cards and box....I may offer it as a class in the future...what do you think?  I bet we could get this done in an hour!

This set came with 8 cards, Labels and even envelopes!  Some of the other sets even come with ribbon.  You have to order by Monday, October 31 in order to get the free stamp sets.  You can email me with your order at simplyalon@yahoo.com or you can order directly through my website at www.simplyalon.stampinup.net  Just hit the Shop Now button under my name.

Have a great weekend!

Let Earth Receive Her King

It's Friday!  Happy Weekend!  I quickly wanted to share the last card that we made at last weekend's Stamp-a-Stack.  We had a great time celebrating World Card-making Day.
Were you able to stamp last weekend?

For this card I embossed the background in clear embossing powder using the En Francais background stamp.  Then, I layered the Lace Ribbon Border punch with the Cherry Cobbler and the Early Espresso.  Note:  The 2 1/2" circle punch fits perfectly in the scallop in the Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die

I wanted to share a project that I've been working on for an upcoming class. I'll be offering this class at my house on Sept. 8 and on Sept. 15 at 6:30pm. I personally think it's gorgeous. I used the new Spice Cake Desingers Series Paper and the Stampin' Card Keeper from the new holiday mini catalog. The pictures just don't do it justice, but trust me...the box is beautiful.

We'll also make 2 cards during the class...here's a sneak peak of them...

This class includes....
  • The Stampin' Card Box
  • Package of the new Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (you keep the whole package)
  • Materials to make 2 additional cards, plus envelopes
