Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps

Earlier this month Stampin' Up! released the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps.  I tried them out this weekend as I had to bake cookies for a party at Sunday School.  I think they came out really cute and I wanted to share them with you!  I made the Halloweens ones for the party, but I also stamped one heart and one snowflake one just for fun (although it did snow here yesterday!)  The stamps come with a wooden handle, 2 recipes and three interchangeable stamps...so cool.  I will tell you that I didn't use the recipes, I used Betty Crocker sugar cooker mix and I also stamped the cookies as soon as I took them out of the oven instead of before I baked them as the directions say.  Here are my cookies...

Cute huh?  What a great treat to take to a party or to just make for your family.  My boys sure did enjoy them as well as the kids at church!

Here's the info for ordering the stamps....they'll be available until January, but get them in time for the holidays!  What a great Christmas gift for a friend that loves to bake.

Item # 125152
Includes solid wood handle with three interchangeable stamp images, two recipes, and tips for use

So, what do you do with a Simply Sent kit?  These kits are great for the beginner stamper.  They are also great for last minute cards and any cards that you need to make a bunch of....like Christmas Cards.  I've been searching different talented Stampin' Up! demos blogs to see samples of how they used the Simply Sent kits. Thanks to Stampin' Pretty, Sandi McIver, Julie Davison, and Inkin out Loud.  It's nice having lots of resources!  I purchased the Everyday Elegance set and made the 3 cards and 1 gift box shown above.  The gift box is perfect for a gift card or cookies, or chocolate to give to a teacher or co-worker.  I really like these cards and box....I may offer it as a class in the future...what do you think?  I bet we could get this done in an hour!

This set came with 8 cards, Labels and even envelopes!  Some of the other sets even come with ribbon.  You have to order by Monday, October 31 in order to get the free stamp sets.  You can email me with your order at simplyalon@yahoo.com or you can order directly through my website at www.simplyalon.stampinup.net  Just hit the Shop Now button under my name.

Have a great weekend!

Let Earth Receive Her King

It's Friday!  Happy Weekend!  I quickly wanted to share the last card that we made at last weekend's Stamp-a-Stack.  We had a great time celebrating World Card-making Day.
Were you able to stamp last weekend?

For this card I embossed the background in clear embossing powder using the En Francais background stamp.  Then, I layered the Lace Ribbon Border punch with the Cherry Cobbler and the Early Espresso.  Note:  The 2 1/2" circle punch fits perfectly in the scallop in the Perfect Pennants Big Shot Die
All Supplies Stampin' Up!

Stamp: The Sounding Joy, En Francais
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Punch: Lace Ribbon Border, 2 1/2 circle
Big Shot Die:  Perfect Pennants
Ink:  Versamark, Cherry Cobbler
Embossing Powder:  Clear

It's fall already!  My favorite time of the year...with the exception of Christmas, and Thanksgiving, and well, it's ONE of my favorite times of the year.

I'm going to offer this wreath as a class this month....

Here are the details...

Place: My house!
Price:  $20 or $40 for the Simply Scored scoreboard and the class (a
good deal because Simply Scored itself is $30)
